Circular Economy

A circular economy scheme

The concept of circular economy was conceived by the former British sailor Ellen MacArthur.

In 2010 he created the Ellen MacArthur Foundation to raise awareness of schools and companies on sustainability and the transition to the circular economy, based on the principle “of avoiding waste and pollution, keeping products and materials in use, and regenerating natural systems”.

What is circular economy mean?

Hence, the Circular Economy aims to radically limit the extraction of raw materials and production of waste. It does this by recovering and reusing as many of the products and materials as possible, in a systemic way, over and over again. The Circular Economy is a “make/remake – use/reuse” economy.
